Notes, in Your Style

The same lecture can become a cheat sheet, an exam drill, or a deep dive. Now you choose.

Pick a style when you generate a note and Snitch writes it that way—structure, depth, tone, all of it. Six ready-made styles cover the ways most people study: Teacher style (simple explanations that build intuition—Snitchnotes classic), Cheat sheet, Exam prep, Academic deep dive, Language learning, and Natural notes (your material, cleaned up and organised).

When none of them is quite you, build your own.

Make it yours:

  • Tick the traits you want—study goal, layout, teaching style, tone, and more—and add a line for anything else
  • Watch the style write itself as you pick, then edit the text by hand if you like
  • Reuse it forever. Snitchnotes remembers your last pick, and any edit applies from your next note on
  • Ask for it in chat—Snitch knows your styles by name

On web and iPhone. Make as many styles as you like.

Protip: One style for the week before the exam, one for the night before. Same lecture, two notes, two jobs.

A Scratch Pad for Your Quizzes

Some questions you answer. Some questions you work out first.

Every quiz question now comes with a scratch pad. Tap the pen and you've got room to type, write out the math, or draw it—with a finger, a stylus, or a mouse. Work through it, then answer with confidence.

What's inside:

  • Type freely—wrap math in $$ to see it typeset as you write
  • Draw it out—pen, eraser, undo, and four ink colours: graphite, red, blue, and moss
  • Use it on every question in Practice Tests and Millionaire, on web and iPhone
  • It's scratch paper. Nothing you write is saved or graded—each question starts clean

Protip: Working through a formula or sketching a diagram? Use the scratch pad before you lock in your answer.

Highlight What Matters

The important part is the part you marked.

Select any passage in a note and highlight it in yellow, green, blue, pink, or purple—table cells included. And every new note Snitch writes now arrives pre-highlighted: the definitions, the thresholds, the one line that makes the section click. Marked the way a strong student marks a textbook, so the important parts stand out from the first read.

What you can do:

  • Highlight anything you select, in five colours, straight from the selection menu
  • Start from Snitch's picks—up to three key lines per section on every new note. Recolour or clear them; they're yours now
  • Select a passage and Ask Snitch to explain it, right there
  • Or hand Snitch the highlighter—"highlight every formula in this note"—and approve before it lands
  • They travel with the note, so your highlights show up on your iPhone too

Highlighting is on web today; iOS shows everything you've marked.

Protip: Pick a colour code—yellow for definitions, pink for formulas, green for exam tips—and use it across every note. Your highlights also ride along when Snitch builds a quiz or flashcards from the note, so it knows what matters to you.

All 👏 New 👏 Chat

Snitch used to only be able to work on a single note. Now it gets things done.

Chat is rebuilt from the ground up. Bring in any note or notebook with @, drop in a PDF, a few photos or a YouTube link, and ask. Snitch can explain, quiz you, build flashcards, make a podcast, tidy your notes, and organise your notebooks—and before it changes anything, it shows you exactly what it's about to do and waits for you to tap Allow.

What you can do:

  • @-mention notes and notebooks, or upload files mid-conversation—photos, PDFs, audio
  • Say "Quiz me," "Make flashcards," "Make a podcast," or "How am I doing?"—Snitch reads your quiz results and coaches from them
  • Let Snitch edit—rewrite a section, rename a note, fix a flashcard, move notes between notebooks—each behind an approval card
  • Talk instead of type. Tap the mic and your words land in the composer
  • Pick up any conversation from your history, on web or iPhone—same chats, both places
  • Chat from anywhere—there's a chat button on every screen, Ask Snitch from any text you select, and on web you can choose floating, side-by-side, or full screen
  • Snitch remembers how you study—your habits and preferences, never your note content. See it or clear it anytime under "What Snitch remembers"
  • Lose Wi-Fi mid-reply? The answer finishes anyway and is waiting when you're back
